MauMau Blood Dreams 2024 is a film and collage fairytale and fable series, based on neolithic Galician stories passed down by word of mouth. The pre-historic folktales were later re-written with happy endings that appealed to readers, themes of truth prevailing, generosity rewarded, obstacles overcome, and love and kindness winning over evil. Fables are different usually ending badly with a caution. Yet the earlier dark, violent and shocking folklore continue to influence our consciousness in film, fiction, and visual arts, and our perception about ourselves. I decided to write my own tales...project in process...
